Chad Hall enters his second year on the New York Giants coaching staff and his first season as the team's wide receivers coach. Hall previously worked with the receiver groups for the Buffalo Bills (2019-22) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2023-24). Under Hall's leadership, several players, including Stefon Diggs, Brian Thomas Jr., John Brown and Cole Beasley, produced career-best seasons. Hall's impact has been consistent, leading at least one receiver to 1,000+ yards every year he has coached the position group.
In his first season with the Giants, Hall served as the assistant quarterbacks coach. The 2026 season marks his 10th year coaching in the NFL.
During his first season on staff, he played a significant role in the development of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who was named a finalist for the 2025 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. Dart produced 24 total touchdowns (15 passing, 9 rushing), the most among all rookies and the third-most by a Giants rookie in franchise history. Dart's 2,272 passing yards rank second all-time among Giants rookies, while his 15 passing touchdowns rank third.
Dart also rushed for 9 touchdowns, setting a franchise record for the most rushing scores in a single season by a Giants quarterback, surpassing Daniel Jones' 7 touchdowns in 2022. From Weeks 6 to 10, Dart rushed for a touchdown in five straight games, making him the only rookie quarterback in NFL history to accomplish that feat.
In addition to his playmaking ability, Dart protected the football at an elite level. His 1.5 percent interception rate ranked ninth in the NFL and was the second-lowest mark by a Giants quarterback in a single season all-time (minimum 325 passing attempts). He also fumbled just 5 times, making him one of eight quarterbacks to play over 700 snaps and record 5 or fewer fumbles. He was the only quarterback last season to play 700+ snaps while throwing 5 or fewer interceptions and fumbling 5 or fewer times.
Before joining the Giants, Hall spent 2023-24 as the wide receivers coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars, overseeing the ascension of Brian Thomas Jr., a standout rookie in 2024. Under Hall's mentorship, Thomas ranked third overall in the NFL with 1,282 receiving yards and led all rookies with 10 touchdown receptions. Thomas also set Jaguars rookie records in receptions (87), receiving yards and yards per catch (14.7). He was voted to the 2025 Pro Bowl, becoming the first rookie wide receiver in Jaguars history to be named to the Pro Bowl.
Before his stint in Jacksonville, Hall spent six seasons (2017-22) with the Buffalo Bills, serving as an offensive assistant in his first two seasons before leading the wide receiver group from 2019-22.
As the wide receivers coach in Buffalo, Hall oversaw two receivers who broke the 1,000-yard mark. In 2019, John Brown reached 1,000 yards for just the second time in his career, while Stefon Diggs surpassed 1,000 yards every season Hall was on staff. Diggs was named first-team All-Pro in 2020 after leading the league with 127 receptions and 1,535 yards. Cole Beasley also earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2020.
Hall played wide receiver in the NFL from 2010-13, beginning his career with the Philadelphia Eagles (2010-11) and also spending time with the San Francisco 49ers (2012) and Kansas City Chiefs (2013). During his career, Hall rushed 12 times for 42 yards and caught 16 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Hall played collegiately at the United States Air Force Academy, where in 2007 he led the nation in all-purpose yards and was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He was also a Heisman Trophy candidate. From 2008-09, Hall served in the United States Air Force as a second lieutenant in the 421st Black Widow F-16 Maintenance Squadron. He and his wife, Rose, have four children, Penelope, Wright, Presley and Forrest.
